When Gerrin Tramis was five years old, he sat at his great-grandmother’s coffee table in her northern Florida home and became completely captivated by drawing comic books and bringing characters to life on the page. That spark stayed with him, growing stronger through the years until the day he graduated high school on the outskirts of Seattle and committed himself to a lifelong career as an artist.
Gerrin went on to earn his degree in Computer Animation from DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington. Immediately after graduating, he joined Handheld Games—a studio specializing in family-friendly entertainment—where he worked as a 2D animator and writer for Nintendo DS titles and other consoles. Shortly after, he was published by Arcana Comics and contributed to multiple original properties for the Canadian-based publisher.
In 2008, Gerrin’s interest in scriptwriting and directing deepened, prompting him to attend the Film School in Seattle and complete its intensive screenwriting program. Afterwards, Gerrin relocated to Los Angeles, where he built a career as a freelance artist, writer, director, and instructor, working for such clients as USC, CBS Television, PlayStation Studios, Gnomon, CG Spectrum, and more.
In 2017, Gerrin returned to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to friends and family and to begin a new chapter—one that continues to nurture the same passion that first took root at that little brown coffee table so many years ago.
